The term “military urbanism” as it defines militarized urban spaces and cityscapes is in the process of critique through the vehicle of web activism today. My first project will look at the idea of “insurgency online” in relation to these structures of power, incarceration, surveillance that have since modern times shifted from geopolitics and urban warfare to biopolitics, from the physical to virtual.
